CUC PHUONG NATIONAL FOREST - MAI CHAU
(3 days / 2 nights) daily departure
Day1 : Hanoi - Ninh Binh (L, D)
Depart to Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh), enjoying the rural scenery along the road. Visit Hoa Lu old citadel.In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes). Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Ninh Binh - Cuc Phuong - Mai Chau (B, L, D)
AM: 7.30 travel to Cuc Phuong National Forest. Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescued Centre at 9.00. Go trekking about 7km to see 1000 years old tree, and the real primitive forest in Viet Nam. After 2 hours trekking. Have picnic lunch in the centre of the forest.
PM: 13.30 drive to Mai Chau. Homestay in l.ac village or Mai Chan guesthouse, arrival at 5.00 pm. Dinner at 19.00. Free at night or take part in their traditional festival held on travellers'' requests to enjoy folk songs, dancing with Thai people - Mua Xap, pine wine - Ruou Can.
Day 3: Mai Chau - Ha Noi (B, L)
AM: 8.00 Walking to Thai ethnic minority villages to see their lifestyle, culture and stilt houses was built in harmony with marvelous nature. 10.00 am driving to Ha Noi. Having lunch in Man Due town.
PM: 14.00 Return to Ha Noi. Stop at Hoa Binh Hydro Power Station.
